Full disclosure, I bought this book at the Goodwill based on the cover. That’s right. I totally judged the book by it’s cover. I thought it looked like a light, fun read.
I was right. Looking For Me by Beth Hoffman was my tenth book for the year. After finishing the last two books I was looking for more of a quick, chick lit book. This book was perfect. It’s a story that follows the life of Teddi Overman, an antique restorer and shop owner, after she moves away from her family home in Kentucky for a new start in Charleston, South Carolina. But when her brother goes missing and is never found, she struggles with not having closure. It was a charming story, both funny and a bit of a tearjerker. I really enjoyed it and am taking it to my mom this weekend because I know she’ll enjoy it too. I would recommend it for sure.
