I unintentionally took a vacation from blogging last week. My husband was out of town for work and the day he left both kids woke up with colds. I ended up taking them up to visit my parents in Sioux Falls. I really needed my mom’s help to get through the week. I will definitely never stop needing my mom.
Anyway for my 8th book I read The Girl On The Train by Paula Hawkins.
I couldn’t put this book down. I read it in three days. If you haven’t heard of it, it’s a story about a woman named Rachel who commutes to work on the train to London every day. One day she sees something that ends up turning her world upside down. It’s suspenseful and full of drama.
I will say that I didn’t love the main character Rachel (I don’t think any of the characters were very likable). Mostly because I couldn’t really relate to her personally, but it didn’t stop me from enjoying the book and having to find out what happens.
I would for sure recommend it to everyone.
**Also, I’ve realized that when I get books from the library I end up reading them much faster knowing that I have a deadline to return them. I now have a bunch on my hold list.
