I can’t believe that it’s already December! When I realized that December 1st was on Monday, I didn’t feel ready to start this project at all even though I had already done some preparations. However, once I figured out what story I wanted to tell for the day, I was ready to dive in. I think that the first day is always the hardest, but after you get that under your belt, the rest seems to flow more easily. That’s the way it is for me anyway.
The story for today was about our tradition of opening wrapped Christmas books and checking the advent calendar. They also have their own sticker advent calendars this year that I bought at Target. I couldn’t resist. They were too cute. I also wanted to include photos and journaling about the kids tiny Christmas trees in their rooms because it’s a new tradition this year that will continue for years to come.
This is the back side. I included a photo of each of their trees and then a 4×6 photo split of their sticker advent calendars. I was only going to include a photo of one of the calendars, but I didn’t want to someone to feel left out. I still need to add a little something on this side, but it can wait. I’m also not loving the “his” and “hers” stamps on the photos. At first I tried to just stamp onto the photos, but I didn’t like the look of it, so I stamped on cardstock, but it just doesn’t look right to me. I can’t figure out how I want it, so I’ll move on and come back when I feel inspired. No big deal.
On to the next!
