I love documenting our everyday lives with this project. It’s a lot of work, but always worth the effort. Here is a look at my Thursday which was actually documented on August 6th.
I woke up pretty early. Around 6:00.
Then I heard Harper come walking in, so I scooped her up for some snuggles in our bed before getting up. I want to remember how she finds comfort in playing with my hair. She loves to hold it while she falls asleep or when she’s just waking up or when she isn’t feeling well. I love it.
The kids asked for McDonald’s hotcakes for breakfast and when I went to leave Harper decided she wanted to come along for the ride.
After breakfast I went out to check on the garden and the kids came out too to run around in the yard with the dog.
I love the feeling of dewy grass in the cool summer mornings. I also just love summer period.
I had some errands to run and Jeremy had meetings, so I took the kids with me. First up was Trader Joe’s. They asked to push around the kids carts. It was pretty cute to watch them.
Then we stopped home to drop off the groceries and eat lunch quickly. Today was Mexican and blueberries with water to drink. Always water.
After lunch we were on the go again. First we went to Michael’s and then Target. Hudson really wanted this picture taken with the big red ball.
It was back to school night for Hudson at 5:00. He got to go check out his new classroom, meet his teacher and find out what friends were going to be in his class this year.
I knew I wouldn’t want to cook after back to school night, so we went to Arby’s for a quick dinner. Jeremy insisted on taking a photo of me eating the giant BLT.
I really didn’t take very many photos today. We were so busy running around that I kind of forgot about it. But that’s okay. What I did catch works for me.
