We celebrated our little boy turning six last Friday and then threw him a party on Saturday. He picked a bug theme for his party and I had a ton of fun creating everything for it. I’ve made the everything for both my kids parties with the exception of Hudson’s second birthday. I think this was my favorite theme so far. Who knew bugs could be so fun?! It was a dark, rainy day so these photos aren’t the greatest, but they’re good enough to preserve the memories of the day.
This punch pinata was an idea found on Pinterest (there are a few different tutorials). It was really easy and cheap to make. I think the total cost of supplies was $2.00 not including the treats. I bought the foam board at the dollar store and the colored tissue paper at Walmart. The kids loved it.
We were supposed to play all the games outside, but the the weather didn’t allow that to happen so we had to make due with being indoors. We also played “pin the spider” on the web, but it was so nuts with all the kids that I didn’t get any photos of it.
This was his first party with friends from school. It got pretty crazy, but he had tons of fun and that’s what matters most. Happy Birthday Hudson! We love you to the moon and back again and back again!!
